FERNANDA CHAVES

Casting Director | CCDA LA

Born and bred in Costa Rica, Fernanda began her career in casting in 2015. In 2017, she joined Tiffany Company Casting as a right-hand woman and over the course of several years oversaw and worked on over 500 projects for top clients, production companies and directors, becoming an integral part of the growth of the company and an independent Casting Director.

She has led jobs for Netflix, Disney, Google, Microsoft, UPS, Hyundai and more. A fully bilingual Casting Director, a lover of people, the entertainment industry and firm believer of the “pura vida” way of life. Fernanda feels passionate about giving minorities and other underrepresented communities accurate and equal representation in the content that we create.

MACEE BINNS

Casting Director | CCDA LA

Macee is a dynamic Casting Director with a diverse background of expertise developed through 15 years of working in various fields of the entertainment industry. She ultimately fell in love with casting and began working as an in-house Casting Director for Los Angeles-based casting agencies in 2017, where she excelled in casting hundreds of commercials, documentaries, films, reality TV shows, music videos, print campaigns, and live events for prestigious brands, production companies, and networks. She contributed to several Super Bowl campaigns that later won Cannes Lion awards before finally venturing out on her own and co-founding Black Sheep Casting with her two partners.

Macee is a people person at heart who thrives on connecting with both talent and clients. With her southern charm and bubbly personality, she excels at creating a confident, natural, and comfortable atmosphere throughout the casting and filming process, making her an invaluable asset to the Black Sheep team.

MERCEDES MANNING

Casting Director | CCDA LA

Mercedes is a southern California native, with more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has produced, coordinated, directed, designed and acted in productions for both stage and screen in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and throughout Eastern Europe.

She joined forces with her now partners, Macee and Fernanda in 2019, and was quick to translate her work on both sides of the camera as a casting director with an excellent eye for finding remarkable talent while efficiently balancing the needs of clients, directors and producers. She is thrilled to launch Black Sheep Casting and looks forward to bringing more creative visions to life.
